Nadim Ammoury, MEng
I am an international student at Dalhousie University and a first year PhD student in the Wilson's lab. I studied biomechanical engineering at the EPFL in Switzerland where I obtained both my BSc and MSc. I also obtained a Minor in Biomedical technologies and their applications. I completed my master's thesis during a year exchange in Japan, which focussed on atherosclerosis and ultrasound image processing. In my current research, I work with 3D reconstructed models of the knees of osteoarthritis patients.
I'm looking at how patient-specific anatomy and implant fit relate to total knee replacement surgery outcomes. Outside of my research, I enjoy traveling to places I don't know much about, eating local specialties and learning about different cultures. Although, I also very much enjoy relaxing at home, cooking, and playing board games.
