Ben MacDonald

I graduated from Dalhousie University in 2023 with my B. Eng. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. While taking the Biomedical Engineering class during my degree, Dr. Wilson gave a presentation on her research that sparked my interest in the field. I knew I wanted to learn more about gait analysis and further my understanding of the biomechanical and biomedical engineering fields. The purpose of my thesis will be to optimize a model that predicts kinetic outcomes by examining the association between knee joint movements relevant to end-stage Osteoarthritis and kinematic features during walking gait to predict the functional outcomes of the knee joint pre and post-arthroplasty. Outside of school, I like to be as active as possible. You can find me in the hockey rink, on the golf course, or on the road running races.
