Stephanie Civiero
I attended McMaster University where I graduated with my BEng in Mechanical Engineering. I moved to Halifax to pursue my MASc in Biomedical Engineering as I wanted to dive deeper and perform clinically relevant research in the orthopaedic biomechanics space. My thesis will focus on validating markerless motion capture to collect gait data on end-stage knee OA patients. I’ll then look at features of the patients’ gait and correlations with joint mobility, alignment, and joint laxity. When I’m not working I love exploring NS and all of the hiking and beaches it has to offer. I also foster kittens which keeps me busy, but I can’t get enough of them!
